ot: family size...what's your limit?

i've always said i wanted 6....dh used to say 2, we have 5, i want one more, dh says TWO more. lol. i guess that makes my limit 7....but i'm pretty sure that is as high as i can go....but i'm open to more....maybe.

what's your limit....and are you already at it?

I've always said two if I had a boy and a girl. DD is home and DS was just granted his CoA today so we can continue his adoption (YAY!); however, dh wants six and has been asking lately about other Central and S American countries we could adopt from. OMG!!!!!

I want a big family, and thankfully DH does, too. We're only at 2 right now; still praying for A to come home....ultimately after A..maybe 1 or 2 more? Not sure. I guess maybe 4 or 5, but I'd like to look into special needs adoptions in the future, too. So that will play a part since he/she would require more attn. I would need to let my little ones get more age on them I think. I'm a lot of help aren't I?

DH is from a family of 4 and wants 4. I'm from a family of 6 and always thought 6 was nice. Right now we have 1 at home DD and 1 potential son, and are tossing around the idea of #3. We'll likely land between 4 and 6.

I always wanted 6 kids. I am 1 of 4, my mom is 1 of 10. I have close to 50 cousins on my moms side and I don't even know how many second cousins, I think a little more than 10.

My husband wants 2 kids. He is a single child with a stepbrother thrown in when he was a little older. His mom only has 1 sister with 1 child. So he is not used to big families.

I don't know how many kiddos we will end up with. But I am willing to take however many God is willing to give us.

I have really been struggling with this lately. We have 2, DD and DS. After our process, I really hoped that 2 would feel complete to me, but it doesn't. We always said 3, maybe that is our end. I would love to be able to adopt several more children, we'll see.

We only have one now but, I really don't have a limit - - yet. Currently looking at options to grow our family further. In my mind I see four kiddos. Will accept however many God entrusts us with.

Ours has been such a process....first we had one, then decided on another, then a third. Then I thought we were done when our littlest one went to kindergarten, until I felt a very strong call from God to adopt. It took four years to convince dh to go along. After we brought home our fourth child, I felt we should bring home another, closer in age than our "big" kids, so we adopted ds number five. Now I really feel like we're done--I'm maxed out!

My brother, though, has six under the age of 7 and hasn't said he's done, yet! So I guess it just depends on what your family can handle.

I always wanted 6 kids, like my mom had. I'm seeing a trend here! But, I got a late start and my 2 certainly make my life full. The late start means that my career is an inextricable part of who I am. Plus I get tired at night!! And during the day too! So I really don't think 6 is in my future . . . it was a nice thought, though.

It's just me as a single mom & my bebita (Jacqueline).....and frankly today's been tough so that is my limit!!

Seriously, as a single mom I think 1 child is the right number for me, but I admire & support any one who wants larger family.

I actually have a Log-in date for China adoption but I told my agency to drop it now that I have Jacqueline.....she's the child I have wanted & been waiting for so long.

And now I am so touched that I have to go upstairs and kiss her even though she's napping...

With 5 at home (and praying for our other two), we're completely open to however many God chooses to bless us with. The more the merrier in this home.
