Cole's medical update
Hey Ya'll. I hope everyone is well and thanks for your prayers. Cole's surgery and tests went without a hitch and his stomach biopsies were fine.
We found he has an arachnoid cyst on his brain - Anyone have experience with this? If so, please let me know or PM me. Little bugger is now crawling and babbling and everything. He's made a ton of progress since coming home with his lil' flat, floppy head!! For those who PMed me or I owe emails, I'm working on getting back to you! Love to you all. Here is a recent pic of him.

He's a cutie! Isn't it awesome how fast they start achieving milestones once they come home?
Sorry, no experience with the cyst on the brain. What is it and what does/will it do? Is it something that needs to be removed sooner than later, or not a big deal? I'm so happy he's doing better and that you finally got some answers. Keep us posted about the cyst.

Mommy to C&C Still praying...for 1 more 10/17/07-Found you 10/22-It's official 11/12-rec COA 12/21-entire dossier rec'd by atty 12/22-subm for PA 1/23/08-agency says case in "grave jeopardy" 2/12-rec PA 2/15-FLOP-WHY 8/6-begged agency for atty to establish case w/CNA 8/13-agency says 'not likely' b/c we didn't VISIT ...new atty=new hope 10/13-new atty talks to CNA->We qualify for regularization 10/21-Confirmed COA from agency is not a COA. Never even filed 11/5-prior atty wants to "check" on us.Tells new atty he was never pd by agency! Agrees to give our file IF we release him of all liab  1/6/09-rec the real COA! Petition to be filed with CNA tomorrow! 2/10-'old' atty won't release our file...w/out PAYING a fee! So much for release of liability  2/16-Agree to pay file ransom 4/29-File FINALLY given to new atty 5/19-CNA officially approves us to begin adoption; accepts dossier NOW MORE HOOPS

I don't have first hand knowledge of an arachnoid cyst. However, a woman I worked with had one.
Her doc told her that arachnoid cysts are inoperable because of the 'fingers' that the cyst consists of. They told her that it probably came from forceps when she was born. She's had it her entire life and will probably always have it. That they usually cause no problems. My son, and myself have had some medical issues. My best advice is to research, research, research and be armed with knowledge when discussing with the doc.

I am sorry, but I don’t follow the forum very much anymore and I do not know about Cole’s surgery, but I am very glad it went well and he is doing great.
I found out about 10+yrs ago that I have an Arachnoid Cyst on my brain. I was freaked out in the beginning about it, but later found out it is okay. They said I have probably had it since birth. They found it on accident. Lots of people have them, but just don’t know about them. We had it checked for a couple of years to see if it was growing and it never did. So they just are leaving it alone since it does no harm. I should have it checked again soon for growth. I am running out the door, but I will send you a PM when I get back and give you some more information.
