doing visa appt alone....DH's passport ???
Hi all
So I just read that if I do the visa appt alone then I'd need to bring DH's passport. Our tentative plan was that he would fly down on the very last day (or night before) and fly home with us. ----we're trying to use his days off in the best way possible and if I take care of the couple days of embassy stuff and a couple transition days at the hogar then he can have more days off once we're home. I THOUGHT I would need to take certified copies of his passport. Do I really need to take the actual passport? even if he wasnt coming down to meet us I would still want the option for him to be able to travel should something come up.

Both DH and I did single parent pickups with notarized copies of the other's passport. Neither of us were comfortable with taking the non-traveling parent's passport just in case of an emergency and it was not an issue.
