I actually thought of this last night but Candy reminded me of it by asking what football team Jagger should play for!

Given some of your childs traits what "career" do you think they would go in to... I will start!


#1 - Lawyer or Sales -- DD is a great negotiator! Some of her favorites sayings are :
"I have a plan..."
"Lets make a deal..."

#2 - Hairdresser -- She offers to comb/brush my hair every night and last night (which made me think of this) she started doing my hair and said "Who did your hair? Who did this to you?"
Btw - I had just gotten my hair cut last Thurs evening but I love it. Apparantly my lil' hairdresser was not as impressed! LOL!

#3 - Cleaning -- She loves loves loves to clean and I have to make sure to limit her access to wipes or she will clean everything in sight. She doesn't care if it is a public place or not!

She is actually multi- talented ... but these are the career paths that stand out right now @ the age of 3.5!

DD - writer, teacher. This girl is a reading fanatic and loves to write stories (she even created her own super hero and has written stories about her). She is also a big time nuturer and will have some career like teaching.

DS#1 - main job will be something like an accountant (he's scary good at math), but he'll also coach football on the side.

DS#2 - Is there a job where you can throw tantrums all day?!? Maybe a professional soccer player who is good enough to get away with being a real pain in the @#$%&*.

DS#3 - Professional baseball player. The guy has an arm like a rocket.

Hmmmm . . . is 'queen of all she surveys' a viable option in this day and age? That definetly seems to be DD's calling thus far!

DS#1 - an architect. He loves HGTV, especially Flip this House, etc. and designing dream houses on the computer

DS#2 - something in sales or a politician. He could charm anyone into anything.

DD - If queen doesn't work out, I can see her being an professional athlete.

My predication at 2 years old ... I am going to go with Electrician (based on his fascination with light switches, plugs and outlets) or HVAC technician (we also have a special relationship with fans)!

For some reason our youngest son, age 7, recently asked us if gutter cleaners make a lot of money. Makes me a little nervous, but as long as he is happy.

I am going with actress or comedian. Gabbie is constantly making us laugh. She is so silly and truly funny. She is also quite the drama queen so acting just might be in her future as well!

We were discussing jobs this weekend - zookeepers, herpetologists, scientists, teachers, doctors, people who work at restaurants (DD is obsessed with servers)... but DD announced she wants to be a singer and write songs and it fits her. She has an amazing sense of rhythm and tune and makes up these fairly coherant songs (yesterday's was good enough to write down: oh, you can't look for love, you have to just find it, sometimes it's hiding, but if you look you'll miss it...) and she plays a mean harmonica. Ok, so it's not Blues Brother quality, but at least as good as me or DH if we're trying.

Otherwise she'll be a bossy manager of something. That girl can micromanage anything.

Katy told us she wants to build buildings. I keep saying that she is going to have a career as a film critic, actress, producer or something like that so I don't feel so guilty about letting her watch so much TV (the girl loves TV).

DD shows a lot of empathy... so I'm thinking (hoping) doctor. Of course, this will be after being on the Olympic gymnastics team (or So You Think You Can Dance). She is very musical, and flexible!

I'm afraid DS is showing signs of being an Engineer (like all the males in my family)... Heaven help us!

12 yr. old DS- wants to be an architect. he is very good with building and creating things.

10 yr old DS- wants to be a chief!He has been going to chiefs academy. He loves to cook and eat! He is a great help to me in the kitchen!

7 yr. old DS- is dressing up like characters all the time. So I think actor or theater.

4 yr. old DD- Hair dresser. She also has to fix my hair everyday or a care giver. She loves to take care of people!

2 yr. old DD- Boss! She yells at everyone and orders her brothers and sisters around! She will probably take over my husbands electrical
business one day or at least be the supervisor. Hee Hee

I think DD will be either:
a) NURSE - she is very nurturing and is always checking on everyone else to make sure they are ok.
b) STAY AT HOME MOM - Based on the above
c) ENTERTAINMENT (dancer, singer, actress) - She loves to "perform" for us and be the center of attention around our family....plus, the girl has rhythm and is OBSESSED with dance shows!
