I am finally getting around to filing the G-884. Miss Sophia has been home since 2-6-07 and her readoption done and her COC was issued on 11/2/2007. I have the documents ready, but unsure where to send them?? We are in Ohio, so do I send it to Cleveland since they issued our COC or do I send them to Buffalo or do I send them to MO? I am lost!

You most likely need to send it to the office that issued the COC. Since it has been a while it is possible that the packet has made its way to the National Records Center in Lee's Summit, MO, but probably not.

What I would do is call or email the Buffalo office and ask them to track where it is for you. You will need the A# from her COC. (The INS registration number or what ever they are calling it now, not the COC number.) Child-Citizenship-Act@dhs.gov OR 716-551-4741 ext 6130.

I submitted this form last summer. Gabriella had been home for almost 18 months, so I debated on sending it to the Buffalo or Lee's Summit. I ended up just sending it to the Buffalo office and I received the file back in about 4 weeks.
