I called PGN and now I'm all twisted.

so the first call I was told my case number...and told that it is "ready" and I said "ready?" and she said, "yes" and then said "....(mumble) June 23" so I said, "it's been ready since June 23rd?" and she said something that sounded like "preview" and I said "previo?" and she said "do you know if your birthmother interview this week?" and I said "I dont know, do we have a previo?" ---still trying to see if she said "preview" or "previo"

then she said hold on...and hung up


So I called again...this time she said "it is finished" I said "finished?" she said "yes, one day" and I said "do we have a previo?" and she said "we dont have that information in the computer". and I said "you dont know if we have a previo?" and she said, "I'm sorry our computer doesnt tell us, one day...finished"

IN THE MEAN TIME....
I get an email from the *additional attorney* that we hired to help us and it says this:
Well, we are happy to inform you that things in PGN are going quite well, your file is now with the special reviewer inside the director's office, so far there is no problem at all and things are going terrific, what comes next is the special reviewer to finish the final review, then your file will get fwd. to the director's desk for her signature. One thing though, the director too goes quickly over a file before she signs off an approval.
This will still take a bit, but so far things couldn't go better.

ARGH. this is maddening. WHY did I have to call?? WHY WHY WHY???

If we have a previo then we're going to be pushing the time limit so far that our 171H will expire, so we're going to have to start working on that. AND this little girl will miss the start of the school year.

ARGH. I need valium ---oh yeah, almost forgot: cant let anyone know I've gone nuts or else I cant adopt! no valium for me.
anyone else start DRINKING during their adoption?

UURRGGHH!! So frustrating!

I guess I would believe the attorney's information. Hopefully he is right and you are just about done.

The only time PGN really seems to get it right lately is when they definately say your file is at the window waiting to be picked up and it is approved not a previo. If they give that info it's probably correct, otherwise I wouldn't bank on them.

I know how you feel. Just wanted to say that when PGN got me all worried about being in "investigation," I got out not long after that. So try to convince yourself that your lawyer is right, and think happy thoughts! Good luck!
