We are searching for our son's bio brother Miguel Angel C.C. Our information indicates he was placed with his family in 2005. We are not sure if he was born in 2005 or 2004. Our son's birth mother's name is Manuela C.C.

We are registered on the sibling registry but haven't found any matches yet.

Have you registered on the Guatemala Sibling Registry? We registered on there and in two months found our son's older brother. We live 2 hours apart. The kids get along great and we love the family. We try to visit each other 2-3 a year. I registered as soon as we got home. You can't register until you have the child. I hadn't went onto the site for a while and then decided to check it one day and his brothers mother register the day before. However she registered the name different. I only registered her first, middle and last initial. She registered her first and middle name and the first 2 letters of the last name (you cant put last names). I immediately contacted her and we verified our information. He is 6 years old then my son.

Yes, we registered in 2/08 but there are no matches so far. The information we have from our paperwork is that his sibling was placed with an agency that has closed so we are out of luck in that direction.

We recently contacted our agency because they placed our daughters bio brother and sister. We were so disappointed and surprised to hear that both sets of adoptive parents do not want any contact. We were at a loss as to why they wouldn't want them to know each other. We are going to register just in case they change their minds.
