Hi- I havent been good about posting lately..still adjusting to single motherhood and full time work after clsoe to one year... we waited over 18 months to be together, and we keep all the children waiting to come home in our prayers...I know how hard the wait is!...Isabella has adapted very well, and I feel so very blessed! I promise to post photos once I can get the kinks out of my photo program so that I can resize them!

meanwhile, we are heading off for a short vacation to the Cape the week after Fourth of July...we were going to stay with friends, but it is starting to look like getting our own room somewhere and just visiting is a better option ...any suggestions of family friendly places to stay/things to do..please feel free to email or pm if we cant post such things...it's been so long since I have been on the forum I am not sure of the rules.

Where on the Cape will you be? We used to go to Chatham and loved it...lots of quaint B&B's.

We were there recently and it's really beautiful. We stayed in Chatham with friends, but took day trips to Woods Hole, Hyannis, Provincetown, etc. and that was fun. There was a nice playground right near the main drag of Chatham.

There are seal watching boats that you can take out of Chatham. Also we went over to Martha's Vineyard for a day and it was just gorgeous. We would love to have had the time (and $$$) to stay there!

There is a children's museum that came recommended in Truro (? I think) but we never made it there.

The beaches were a little chilly and windy, but it was still nice just to spend time at the shore looking out at the water, collecting shells.

Cape Cod is my favorite place to be! I would suggest going somewhere close to the bay .. this is the PERFECT place for little people ... we always stay in Eastham/Orleans and have easy access to the Bay that way ... gosh, I wish we could go back this year! Perhaps next ... anyway, there is no bad place as all are kid friendly and there are plenty of places to go ..

One of my best friends from college lives in Cape Cod! You must have a bowl of clam chowder at Captain Parkers Restaurant. It is the best chowder I have ever tasted and I insist that we go there whenever we go to the Cape. I also love going to P-Town (Provincetown) and go on a whale watch, but at night the town gets a little well...it's an experience. Not really family friendly, but as a musician I don't mind the eccentric people, I like it. I usually am cold with the ocean air always blowing, but a few years ago it was crazy hot like it has never been before and my friends thermostat in the house read 92 degrees and they don't usually have air conditioning there. So we went candle pin bowling and had a blast. Also, check out the real estate magazines while you are there. DH and I always get a kick out of how much people have to pay for homes out there.

I'm still looking for a hotel..any suggestions in Chatham/Orelans/eastham? Bella is 2 1/2 ...near the bay and a playground sounds good...
