Gc Bc

We received our GCBC yesterday! Our attorney submitted for it on 6/12.

I wanted to see if anyone could give me some kind of time line on the next steps. I want to go about a week before our embassy appointment, but I'm not sure when I should actually start planning.

Once our file is submitted, how long does it take the Embassy before we're ORANGE?

How long does it usually take to take the DNA test and send it off to the lab?

How long does it take at the lab to process results? Does the lab mail or fax it to the embassy?

I know that it will vary, but any info will help!! Thanks!!!

Congrats...2 weeks to the day isn't so bad if it stays that way!

Someone on guatadopt just got BC on 6/23 and are already Orange (test on Monday) so one week from BC to test.

Assuming nothing has changed at labcorp that should be the usual 10-14 days once the test is done (results are fed-ex'd to embassy), then 2-3 days for PINK to be issued, then 10-14 days until the appointment.

...But.

There are so many different points in there where if it goes 10 instead of 14 each time or 14 instead of 10 you end up with 2-3 weeks difference!

At this point, I would assume you'll have orange by mid to late next week with a test by Friday or early the week after. 2 weeks later should be pink, then a week or so later you'll travel. You can check out some timelines at the link in my siggy.

A huge congrats. We are also waiting for our GC BC and found out that we were submitted for it. Don't have the exact date.
