Hi All,

Where to stay for PU has been on my mind ALOT. It's pretty certain that dh will be staying home and I will be ALL by myself for PU. The past 4x I have been to Guatemala I have stayed at the Marriott. Where is everyone planning on staying when they go for PU? I want to hopefully be where there will be other families.

We're for sure gonna stay at the Westin Stacy. I loved it and Kate loved the pool. I can't wait to go!!

WESTIN!!!!! I went by myself last month for a visit. There were quite a few adopting families. I CANNOT say enough about the staff how helpful they were. On the day that I had to give dd back to her FM I was waiting in the lobby, SO many came over to tell her good bye, to give me a hug, to tell me I will be back soon. I never once felt unsafe....can't wait to go back!

Marriott all the way..... My bf is going with me, and we're going to go for atleast a week and see part of Guat. We plan on spending a couple of nights in Antigua and the lake. I figure after 7 trips I should see SOME of the country. We're excited! All the rest of the time we will be at the Marriott.....

La Casa Grande for sure. I've been there 5 times and will go again for pick up when ever that will be!!!!!!!!

We'll be staying at the Marriott, which we've stayed at before. When I went in April, there were a lot of families there. I really like it there!

PU will be our 4th trip down there. Always stay at the Radisson. We like the bigger rooms.

The Westin for sure - been there twice and they were great. Plus there are shops close by and the pool and restaurants are great!!!

Grand Tikal is awesome. The food is delicious, the rooms are big, the pool is pretty, ahnd you can't beat the attached mall.

Also, a major plus is Giovanni. Those who have stayed there know what I am talking about!

Giovanni.......WOOHOO!!!!!! Definately a plus and oh very helpful with anything we have ever needed!!

We will all have to tell him he is a celebrity amoungst adoptive families(or maybe I should say adoptive moms!!!!!!)

Oh and yes we love the GT and the mall!!!

I am going for a visit (July 12-19) and staying at
The Westin. I love it there.
We had friends that stayed at The Marriott and although they liked the Marriott they complained that the beds were way too hard and barely got any sleep.
I love the Westin and the location of the Westin.
I will stay there again when we go for pick up.

THE WESTIN! Have been there 3 times. Our little girl loved the pool. Comfortable rooms, great restaurants and shops. Excellent service. Shuttle...translation help was very important since our little girl is almost 6. They were great!
