I found this great web-site that lists traditional clothig for sale, with the pattern based on the village. The also have matching clothes that fit an American Girl doll. I haven't bought from them, but I'm sure I will in the future...

What great timing your post is. We were on vacation last week and I was talking with my 8 y/o niece who is HUGE American Doll fan she has Samantha. I was telling her that I am trying to find a doll that resembles Maya's features dark hair, dark eyes...and she was telling me who she thought I should buy her. Today she came up to me after church with a handfull of cut out pictures from her A.G. magazine of dolls that she thought Maya would like, I was so touched and she was so "PC" about it, if only some adults could be as wonderful as she was. I promised that she could help me make my final decision, I have three bio boys and according to my niece I need lots of help when it comes to picking out girl "things". You can't help but love this child, she is a great cousin to my daughter. I can't wait to show her the clothes on this site for A.G. dolls, I'm sure she will spend my money very easily.

I bought outfits for my nieces' dolls for Christmas--I was impressed with the handiwork. They were great! Also it made me nostalgic about our trips to Guatemala--I recognized several of the dolls' outfits as ones I had seen some of the people wearing when we were there.
