Tell me I'm not the only one that does this....

Back in February, shortly after our visit trip and just before we went back in PGN and were awaiting the CA chaos, I was fretting over our possible OUT dates. For some silly reason I made an agreement with myself/God/PGN that PGN could keep our file for as long as it took me to log 100 miles on my treadmill for 2008.

Today's jog put me at 100.1 miles in 2008. I got frustrated for most of March and most of May and barely even looked at the treadmill those months. With our BMI today I was feeling optimisitic and ran and now, rediculously, I keep expecting the phone to ring. I did my side...let's go PGN!


Anyone else have some little internal goal that helps them feel like they have some control in this process? The less logical the better.

Yes, I've bargained with myself/God/everyone that they can have until Sept. 2nd, my little guys 3rd birthday, until he MUST be home. I am starting to get a bit anxious that unless things pick up drastically, I'm not sure he'll make it! I gave them PLENTY of time to process our adoption!

I thought that "If we built it she will come." In terms of our building addition, finishing Kate's room, etc. Now I am bargaining with DH to finish the handrailing and gate down into the basement. Crazily thinking that she can't come home until there is a gate up and handrail to hang onto so she is safe! LOL! You're not alone Julie!

Julie - Hope your interview went quick and painless. Way to meet your goal - if PGN and others cannot meet it, just set the bar higher and keep going. if anything, it will keep you occupied in the meantime! keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you guys today!

I do the same thing.
We have been waiting for our BC for so long now.
Even today I was doing the date thing. If we get BC by today, DNA by....
Truth is it doesn't matter and there is nothing I can do about it.
Yesterday at church I half-jokingly stated he hasn't made it home yet because I was going to lose 20 pounds before he did and I haven't made it all the way yet.
What is wrong with us? Everyone wants so much to control this process. Nothing should be this painful.

Has anyone heard if they released any cases today? Well, they didn't release mine. It's been approved w/ interview ans for some crazy reason it's never ready to be picked up.
