I check the site every so often and pray and think of this family often. It truly puts things into perspective. check it out and /or send a prayer, positive thought their way.

My wife and I have the honor of knowing Carmen and her family. We met them slightly before Carmen being diagnosed. We keep frequent contact with them and can say that they are an amazing family. I cannot imagine the battle they are fighting. There strength and ability to cope as well as keeping the right perspective is amazing. Without too many details, they have altered their lives to care for Carmen.

As the video says, Carmen will take her first steps and words with God. Somehow it was to be that she found such a great family through this process rather than facing the unknown if left in Guatemala. Please find comfort in knowing that your family was choosen for a reason.

I saw the video too and have been following Lana's journal for a little while now. It is such a sad story but faith affirming at the same time. It seems Carmen is right where she needs to be and will be loved and cared for her whole little life!

What a precious gift Carmen is. God has a bigger plan for her than we know. She is loved by so many and it is apparent. She is beautiful.
