Exposing the lies or the heartbreaking truth? 15 days until we know....
Today the countrywide announcement went out searching for my son's birthmother. It gave her or a family member interested in taking custody of him 15 days to get in touch with our attorney. I am on pins and needles while we wait to find out if the last 11 months have been full of lies or if there are indeed blood relatives out there who want to raise him.
I know that whatever is meant to be will happen and I try to focus on my daughter who has been home for 5 months and is the absolute light of our lives, but it is so hard to believe that in 15 days we will know the truth and find out if we can continue with his adoption. He is almost 18 months old. It is time for a forever family whether it is us or not. I pray that he will come through this, whatever the outcome, a happy, healthy, well-adjusted boy and I pray that his foster family, who have parented and loved him since he was 45 days old, will survive the trauma of loving an amazing child as if he were their own then having him taken from them. So here we go, 15 days and counting. Thanks for listening! Chris

ANNA  Summer 2006 Decided to adopt from Guatemala 01-07 visit to GC, cannot proceed with our 1st referral, started over. 1-17-07 Harry is born 5-14-07 visit trip 5-19 PA received! 5-30 into PGN!!!!! 6-28 KO  7-11 back into PGN (hopefully)  8-15 Not yet back into PGN 9-1 Still not back in PGN  9-28 Back in the Game! (PGN) Not really in pgn  10-5 Now back in PGN!!! Finally!! 11-28 OUT OUT OUT!!!!   11-29 I found out from Laura we are OUT of PGN and called my agency! 11-30 FInal birthmom signature and new BC from Villa Nueva in our possession!!!! 12-4 passport DONE! 12-6- DNA Authorization-DONE! 12-7-DNA Done! but not sent to USA 12-11 Pat at Labcorp tells me no sample yet and to contact Guatemala. 12-11 Tracked down Dna sample-never sent out due to error at lab 12-11 DNA REALLY sent to USA 12-13 DNA gets to lab in USA 12-19 USE gets lab results, now we need PINK [COLOR=#ff00 January 2008 home forever!

Thank you all so much for your prayers, support and kind words. It means so much. I know that everything happens for a reason and if this precious boy is not to be our son then he brought us to our daughter which was God's plan. Now all we can do is wait and pray for his health, well-being and safety and that of his foster family. It is great to know there are others praying with us. Thanks again for the support.

You are remarkable in your faith. I also believe God has his plans and things happen for a reason. But it would be very hard to continue as you are doing. My prayers are with you and all waiting families now!
