Today has just been tough. Among all the stuff we are all going through, a few weeks ago we were told we would have to start paying the foster care. We anticipated a few + hundred a month. Got an email today that "due to the extra work he has to do he is charging $2,000 more dollars." We paid 1/2 the fee at referral then later he reguest $2,000 of the money owed because our case was so long. Later we gave him more of the money owed because he said he would get something done right away if we did (he did not do it right away). All this and we have had nothing but heartache. I an so tired of it all. Thanks for listening.

Please take these HUGS. Its rotten but it will happen and you will get through this. I don't really have much else to say. You certainly have had a really rough ride so far, and Lord knows you did not deserve it but things happen for a reason. Maybe your little one, in years to come, will really need to hear how hard you fought to get her home. WHo ever really knows why but things are meant to be this way for a very very good reason. Hang on in there. It will work out.

Karen, all that plainly stinks. Can he really charge $2,000 extra? Is that part of your contract? I understand it is so hard to write that monthly check out for foster fees, especially when you don't plan for it. Sending you big hugs, hoping tomorrow is better for you. And for extra work? If he had done his job right the FIRST TIME back in SEPTEMBER this wouldn't be going on right now. It's his own darn fault that she has been in foster care this long!

I'm sorry your stinking attorney thinks you should pay more because he can't get his job done. If I were you, I might tell him that I'd be glad to pay the extra...after my daughter comes home. A little incentive never hurt anybody. (Not that you'd be GLAD to pay the dope, but you would be GLAD to get your daughter home.)
