Amazon.com: Flip Video Ultra Series Camcorder, 60-Minutes (Black): Electronics
This is a little off-topic but if you don't have one of these, you should. It is called the Flip. It is a video camera, smaller than your compact camera, extremely simple to use, all solid state so you can hand it to your kid and they can drop it, fits in your pocket. Has totally changed how we take video because we always have it along. Very cool.

Flexible Tripod
THis is a little bit off track sort of---but I just got a flexible tri-pod called a gorrilla-pod from Joby! It's coooool. The legs are like little connected "ball in sockets" so they can wrap around fences, limbs, almost anything as well as stand up like a normal tripod or you can put it at an unusual angle for "artful" shots. It's light weight and compact like a travel tripod. I can't wait to take it to Guatemala!!! There have been so many times when we are hiking or outdoors that I have had to try and precariously perch a tripod on some rocks or something--this will be great! Here are a few pics of it:
