I don't know why---but it says on the main page that it was taken offline--so they must be working on it. I certainly miss it!!!!!!

Bernie- enjoy and good luck! I have tried to take the weekend off and have not been able to do it. It's bad! I always break down and sign on even if it is for a second

My husband is scoutmaster so I will be spending tomorrow at Scout a Rama- no computer!!! A forced weekend off!! BUT my mind will swirling with worry!

WaitingForBrian - good for you. All the boards move slow and rarely does news emerge during the weekend anyway. I gave up smoking 11 years ago cold turkey, but I don't know if I could give up board stalking right now.

You're allowed to name our site. There's no competition between us and both this site and Guatadopt provide unique and valuable resources to PAPs and APs.
We had to take our forum down temporarily for a variety of reasons - workload, personal stress, rumor control, and maintenance. One thing that is different about Guatadopt is that we have no real staff. We all have non-adoption jobs that pay our bills. Kelly is also the only person with any technical know how and she is backed up beyond belief with her job. Our forums will be back soon and weekends are the slow time anyway. We always post all news to the main site, not the forums. I've just posted what we know about this whole PGN offering money to birthmoms this. And contrary to some innuendos we received, this was definitively not done because of any agenda. If anything the timing was the contrary - because we didn't have the ability to make sure folks were getting straightforward, objective information and clarification. We got overloaded in our real lives and had to make the pragmatic decision to take a break for the sake of our families, our jobs, and the sanity of our readers. Hope that makes sense. Hi Kevin,
I read your update about the guatadopt forum, thanks for letting us know. I am wondering if there is a way for me to retrieve information from a thread I started about the Grand Tikal. I was gathering info about the hotel for a visit trip we are making but I did not copy or save the information elsewhere, my bad. I did plan on doing, I just didn't get to it yet. Thanks!

Intladoption101, I'm afraid I can't get into it myself. But what do you want to know? We've stayed there before.
The hotel is very nice. It seemed a bit "snooty" to me. The indoor pool area is wonderful. Being connected to the mall is nice because there are many places to eat, a pharmacy, etc. The rooms are fine - nothing special but nothing bad. Kevin Guatadopt.com
