we are still waiting on dna authorization and they've had our paperwork since the beginning of april (i'm being generous with that timeline.)

i don't know when to start worrying.
any suggestions? ideas?

Dna authorization (1st DNA?) is generally granted the day you apply for it as far as I know.

Just wondering...did you get your referral before 12/31/07?

we've been in family court since february. the agency said the attorney was waiting until the fc was done to apply for dna authorization. hmmmmm. he didn't do that last time, so i was curious if it was a new procedure.

and yes, we had our POA signed/sealed/delivered by 12/31.

any thoughts???

Perhaps he is waiting to see what happens with FC before getting into doing DNA? Though some attorneys do the DNA right away, I know ours took quite a while. Check out our timeline. All our docs were there in August, but we didn't get DNA auth. till Nov. 29.

I don't know...just can't imagine any rationale for waiting on the DNA test in this current time, when PA is bound to take a while. I would double check with your agency on that one.

I'm trying to check and i keep asking, but hear the same answer.

even if this is his logic and process, i'm worried about family court -- no movement, no sw interview -- nothing to show progress.

i'm not even out of the first step yet!
