Blocking a blog reader
I have a question for bloggers. Is there a way to block someone from reading my blog without going private? I have a sil I don't want to have anything to do with my blog, especially her hateful comments.

can you just set the comments section to moderate that way her comments have to be approved by you before they post to the blog? I use that feature and it seems to keep down the "negative"comments.

I thought I did that but I guess I didn't do it correctly. I'll try it again. I did change it so only registered blog users could leave comments. I also sent my sil an email telling her to stay off my blog.

You can also get rid of comments all together. That's what I did. Or as dac cincy said you can moderate the comments and not approve hers.
You can also get a tracker so that you can see who is visiting your blog. I have a free one so it only tells me the city and IP address, but I can tell which one of my friends have been on just from that. Mine is from site meter.com

I don't know how to do that , but I just wanted to say that I am so sorry to hear that your sil does not support you guys. I understand how family can be when they really do not support. It stinks! Thank God for the a.com
 where we can all vent safely and get support. You can always start a new blog and not give her the link.
