Abe's FM doesn't read this board or anything, but I just wanted to express our sincere appreciation of her in a public forum.

Of course yesterday was Mothers Day in Guatemala. She made it a point to have a web cam chat with us so Darla could see Abe crawl! She also sends us pictures about as often as our agency.

These are nice things, but the most important thing is that he gets the attention, encouragement, and nutrition that he deserves. After all, this is the major reason we chose Guatemala as the country to adopt from. Abraham isn't stuck in some huge stat-run orphanage.

So I just wanted to say Olga for being such a great FM! Happy Mothers Day!

Liana understands what it is to be loved. Liana shows empathy, and is concerned when another child cries. Liana knows how to laugh, and how to feel intense joy. Liana was eating with a spoon at 13 months!!! Liana is remarkably good at sharing!

Liana has been though a lot, and she still has great anxiety when I am out of her line of sight. But she really believes that the world is a beautiful place, and that people are good.

I know that the Aura Luz and her wonderful extended family smoothered Liana with love and joy and respect, and that all they gave her during the first 13 months of her life provided her with a strong foundation, consistent with my values, which I will be building upon until Liana is an adult.

Thank you Aura Luz... and family. I think of you often.

I agree we need to thank them more often for what they do. Lidia (our foster mom) told me it is her "job" to teach Katelyn what a family truly is. I appreciate her SO much and know we will continue to have a relationship when Katelyn comes home! I LOVE her and LOVE how she LOVE'S my little Kate!

We are on our P/U trip and just left our Foster Family after having a wonderful lunch with them. I saw 1st hand the love they have for our son. As long as I live I will never to be able to Thank our Foster Mother enough. She her husband and daughter have been unbelievably generous not only to our son but to my husband and I.

We have a heathly and happy son because of them. We will always be thankful and humbled by what they have done for us.

I would also like to publicly thank the foster mom (and entire foster family) of the little girl I am

"B" (that's what Jacqueline calls her) is just marvelous....she loves and adores Jacqueline, and coos over her & plays games with her. I have been lucky enough to see all of this and how Jacqueline's eyes light up when she sees "B." She has taught her how to sleep through the night, how to comfort herself, and how to go to sleep in a very short period of time and on schedule.

I am so, so lucky!!
