I am in total tears right now. My Keiko has been throwing up all weekend. Not eating, and every time he drank it came back up. He could barely walk this morning so I rushed him to the Vet. They said he has the worst pancreatitis that they have seen in a long time. He has been my baby for 11 years. He has been the love of my life. I actually have been telling him his sister is going to look just like him, black hair and a tan face. (he is a miniature Pinscher) We always thought they would be so cute together. And now it sounds like I am going to lose him. I am asking all the dog lovers out there to pray for my Keiko, I cannot lose him now. Thanks for the prayers. Denise

We lost our "little man" a few months ago after 10 years of pure love. He would have been the best big brother any little girl could ask for. I understand exactly how you are feeling.

I am soooo sorry. Your post made me cry--I just can't handle any animal suffering!! I used to have a "bad" little Min Pin-Anyone whose had one knows that I say that with total love--they aresuch great little dogs. Please hang in there and be strong. Praying for your Keiko - it is so very hard, our pets are like family and are always forgiving, loving, comforting. It is a very sad time but your dog knows you love him so just be there for him as much as you can. Hang in there.

I am so so sorry, and our prayers are with you both. Our dog had severe pancreatitis also. I know how helpless you feel, and will be thinking of you and your baby.

Prayers going out for your sweet furbaby. I had to put my 17yr old German Shep down in Nov and I still cry daily. I know how much they are family members. I pray that your baby gets better and it is something simple that can be treated. I will tell you that many times these things appear worse than what they actually are. It might be something that can simply be treated with an antibiotic. I can't tell you how many times I got so upset fearing the worst and it was something that was treatable and the dog recovered.

Our dog came back from the brink a couple of times after I requested prayers from this group and I'll always be grateful.

Sending prayers for Keiko to recover and come home. Our family also consists of 5 cats and 2 dogs and I love them like I love my children. They are also my babies. I had to put my 6yr. old cat Toby to sleep on May 10, 2006 and it was the hardest thing I have ever had to do. He was my first cat and he acted more like a dog than a cat and he was great with kids. Unfortunately, Toby only got to spend 2 months with our first daughter and then he got very sick fast. Denise- my prayers go out to you during this difficult time.
