USCIS WAIT in KY??
Hi all,
Just wondering if you guys know the "current" wait time for USCIS approval or how long your wait was? Thanks!! Joy

Amber It's a girl!!! DOB: 3/29/06 Referral 4/18/06 - TBN - Emma Kate Waiting.......and praying! DNA a positive match! 6/16/06 Pre-Approval 6/27/06 The 1st time I held my daughter!!!!! June 28, 2006 1st visit trip June 27 - July 6 New POA sent out 7/10/06 2nd visit trip Aug. 13-18 Submitted to PGN Sept 12 - OOPS! Not true! Actual date file entered PGN - Oct. 23rd KO'd Nov. 7 - PGN requires new employment letter for my husband - notary's commission expired FINALLY RE-SUBMITTED TO PGN Jan. 4th, 2007 New reviewer assigned to our case Jan. 30, 2007 KO'd AGAIN!!! Feb. 1, 2007 - this is really getting old!! 3rd visit trip Feb. 1-4th Feb. 21st and we still don't know what KO#2 is even for?!?!?!? Guess it wasn't a KO after all!!!!!! Feb. 22 OUT OF PGN!!!!!!!! March 26th 2007 leaving for extended pick up trip! March 29th - Happy 1st Birthday Kate!!  Home forever on April 27th!!!!!!!!!!!!! Praise God!!!

Yeah - we were about 2 years ago also, and it was about 2 weeks. We got fingerprinted on February 14th (which was when I turned in the paperwork) The homestudy got turned in at the end of April/beginning of May and we had our approval on the 12th of May.

Sorry, I hate being the 'downer' but as of June '07--it took a while. We mailed our I600a application on June 6th, were fingerprinted on July 19th, and finally rec'd the clearance on Aug 29th.
Very important to know that it depends on WHAT PART OF KY you're in....as when we were in Lex in '04 with Connor's process, L'ville only took a couple weeks. HOWEVER, with Cristian's last yr, b/c we're now in northeastern KY, our svc office is actually Charleston (to be fingerprinted)...which slows things down... My guess is as long as your fingerprint/service office is still L'ville, you'll have a better chance at a speedier turnaround...but if you have to go out of state like we did, then wait for those to go back, you might be waiting a while. Mommy to C&C  Still praying...for 1 more 10/17/07-Found you 10/22-It's official 11/12-rec COA 12/21-entire dossier rec'd by atty 12/22-subm for PA 1/23/08-agency says case in "grave jeopardy" 2/12-rec PA 2/15-FLOP-WHY  8/6-begged agency for atty to establish case w/CNA 8/13-agency says 'not likely' b/c we didn't VISIT ...new atty=new hope 10/13-new atty talks to CNA->We qualify for regularization 10/21-Confirmed COA from agency is not a COA. Never even filed 11/5-prior atty wants to "check" on us.Tells new atty he was never pd by agency! Agrees to give our file IF we release him of all liab  1/6/09-rec the real COA! Petition to be filed with CNA tomorrow!  2/10-'old' atty won't release our file...w/out PAYING a fee! So much for release of liability  2/16-Agree to pay file ransom 4/29-File FINALLY given to new atty 5/19-CNA officially approves us to begin adoption; accepts dossier NOW MORE HOOPS

I should clarify that with Cristian's, we still had to apply thru L'ville, but the SERVICE location (where the prints are done) was done thru Charleston, WV. So check where your service location for your office is and that should help.

Oh bummer!
Our office is Louisville but we were fingerprinted in Nashville, Tn. That was done over a month ago. So hopefully that won't slow us down. THanks for the replies and information!

We did ours in Dec 06 and the wait was around 45 days then.

Thanks - 45 days isn't so bad. I have heard 90 so I would take the 45 days anytime!!
