How do you know if you are out of PGN? Our agency sent me an email with a copy of the adoption paper signed by Barrios. They said that our case was out and we should expect to leave in 6-8 weeks. I questioned - reading that cases are not being released. Does this paper that was signed by Barrios the proof that the file is released, or just a page doc that the att was given? I am asking because I asked my agency two days ago if the case is out, and they said they believe so since they had that page that Barrios signed, and that they would check with the att. It is the weekend and I heard nothing, and I will have to wait until next week. In the meantime I so nervous not knowing. Does anyone have ANY idea of how you can tell if your case was indeed released??

I'm 99.9% sure you are out!!!

I've never heard of any other reason that you would have Barrio's signature, unless you were OUT!

Sounds like you just dodged the bullet, please continue to pray for us who are still stuck in the mess.

I agree with airstar. I think the only other reason you would have a page signed by Barrios is if you had a previo. The page with the previo though is very distinctive as it lists the reasons for the previo and I believe says previo at the top. Did your agency send you a copy of this page? If so maybe you could scan it in or copy a paragraph and see if someone can help you translate.

I think you are OUT though!! Don't let it bother you...start to research hotels and buying fishing poles because you are going to be taking your kid to the lake this summer!!

We got a copy of this page too--and tho my spanish is weak I'm pretty sure that it was the approval for adoption. If you look at the last paragraph before "Articulos" it should say ( or mine says...) OPINA: Ques quede acceder alopedido por la "your name" andanda otorgar la escritura de adopcion del meno "your child's name" extendiendo el testimonio respectivo a efecto de que sea inscrito en el libro especial del Registro Civil antes citado. Then a bunch of legal stuff and numbers and finally the date--in our case MARCH 3 2008!!!!

greypaws, What you wrote above is what is does say and the date is 3 de marzo del 2008. If we received this, does this mean the entire file is out? The agency said that we were out, I'm just not sure if they have the entire file in hand. Have any thoughts??

I think it is time for those bananas! I just looked at my PGN papers from last year and the same statment is given.

Thanks guys I was so worried that the entire file wasn't out. Thanks nattyloo for looking at you papers from last year. I just want to go and get Joshua. I was shopping all day today-bought cute outfits for our pick up trip. Hope DH doesn't mind that I bought so much It was good therapy

Congratulations, JoshGuat on your OUT! That is the paper that says that the adoption is complete. Greytpaws, you made me laugh with your second post b/c what you typed in your first post didn't make ANY sense. So funny. Glad you are both OUT.

We got confirmation toady that yes we are out and most impostantly is that the case file it OUT!! whoo hoo. I was really sweating it. Thanks!! Now, its time to wait again for BC and orange.
