Petekeia on our DD's Chest????
We took our 14mos old DD to the international specialist and she saw petekeia on her chest and became concerned. She ran some blood tests right away to find out her platelet count.. They came back perfect and she really doesnt know at this point what is wrong. She ran other tests and we are waiting for those to come back and she wants to see our DD in two weeks.. Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with this sort of problem..
Thanks Kristi |

Has she had any strong coughing or laborous (sp?) vomiting? I used to get them as a child from straining from coughing too hard or vomiting. Just an idea. Please try not to worry. Hugs.

thanks!
Thanks guys for your answers. She has not had a cold or been vomitting. The dr. also asked if she had fallen or anything and she has only fallen once since she has been home.. She came home in March and I noticed it then. I just thought it was a rash or part of her skin. Really didnt think anything of it because is is not real red. It is more brown. I guess I was hoping someone would tell me that their child is like that and its normal. I am hoping the other blood tests tell us something because it is still there. We went to the dr. Wed.

Maybe a food allergy? Petechiae or small raised red bumps maybe could be an allergy..not an expert on rashes but just a thought..
