I'm under the impression that the guys at the CA are looking over the files to determine WHAT was taking the reviewers SO LONG to do. I'm sure it's ammunition against Gordillo and Barrios. You know in Guatemala they have to have ammunition for everything and anything to get done. They will be able to prove corruption, and then we will all FLY OUT!!!!! Tammy's people told her 1-2 weeks MAX.... Come on! We can do that!!!!! No one was guaranteed to be out before then anyway. My attorney had been there begging for his cases daily with NO LUCK. I truly believe this is positive. All of us have been caught up in the Dec. 31 deadline and the whole CA fiasco. WE CAN DO THIS! LET'S ALL STAND STRONG!!!

Praying like mad you are right Lou. Please keep us in the loop in you can. I have been telling myself that the CA is just scrutinizing the way PGN has been handling our cases and that they will NOT stick their noses into anything else. Please God let that be the case.

thanks, lou - NOW THAT IS THE ATTITUDE!! the files seemed as if they were being held for ransom anyway at the second reviewer desk and then the nonsense of going back and forth between reviewers and misinformation. Time for us to look forward to the light at the end of the tunnel!

We aren't even going to be resubmitted until next Monday PM at the earliest. Hopefully by then a plan will be in place.

Thanks for posting. I'm feeling a bit better today too. The thing is ... and this comes from a psychological point of view, honestly, two masters worth of psychology, lol!

We/PAP's have been hugely abused, taken advantage of because of our love for children, lied to for months to cause delays and/or try and get extra money.

This has not been a one time abusive experience, it's been ongoing and the reality of it's effects is that we will all need some type of therapy, lol, maybe the group therapy on the message boards is enough for some, lol, but these kind of abuse causes a lack of trust and concerning the situation that we are dealing with now ...

So far President Colom has not given us a reason to NOT trust his decisions. Those whom he chose for the NCA had the children's best interest at heart when they did all they could to get the children grandfathered.

I was there and watched the NCA in action and was very impressed by them.

If they were trying to get Barrios to work with them but he refused then that to me points to the possibility that he did not want accountability to the NCA and if no accountability, then what was he hiding.

The NCA has already requested my home study agency to provide them with names of families who still want to adopt from Guatemala in the future.

It looks like they are getting prepared for the children and they probably are just doing this evaluation to find the bad on the old administration.

So, our first reaction is a lack of trust because of the abuse we already suffered, but I do have hope today, because I do like Colom, and I feel pretty confident that this new lady in the PGN will be a real blessing to the people of Guatemala.

Also, concerning the group that is trying to haul adoptions, they have been trying for a long time, and I believe they even know the child trafficing ring associated with the cases, so it makes sense that the NCA and PGN should know which names to look for when auditing cases.

ALSO, MY ATTY TOO WAS LOOKING INTO MY FILE EVERY DAY AND BEING GIVEN THE RUN AROUND WITH A HORRIBLE 2ND FEMALE REVIEWER!!!

Hey Lou and everyone,
I got great news today that all the "numbers" work is done and they actually started looking at cases again this afternoon.

SEE POSITIVE THINKING AND LOTS OF PRAYING. Our attorney has a meeting with our reviewer on Monday.

She said today she was working on April 1 submits/resubmits. We were resubmitted on April 11 but not actually logged in until April 14. She told him to come back on Monday and she would be ready to review our case!!!!!

I don't know about you but from April 1 to April 14 in a day, pretty fast to me. I LIKE IT!!!!

The best news.....cases are being reviewed again so hopefully next week things will start FLYING LIKE EAGLES for everyone.

EDITED: OOPS forgot to add something very important. Evidently all the 2nd reviewers have been replaced as well as a lot of the officers in PGN.

Tammy, I love you! That is great news!!!!! I am staying positive and looking forward to the day when our sweet darlings are home with us!!!!!! It is happening. I just feel it in my heart.....can't explain it...... God's telling me it's happening and to stay calm and trust in Him!!!!

Wow, I hope that is true! I wonder, could that mean March cases and the rest of Feb. are waiting to be signed? Also, and this is just me thinking, remember a month or so back when there was a rumor of getting PGN cases out by April? I wonder if that could come to fruition. Just trying to think positive here...

Thanks for the update. Our agency said end of Feb/March cases will be expidited. They didn't say when though. Maybe they are due to be signed as hbrown22 mentioned.

This rollarcoaster has to stop. PAP's need a break here and I am praying that they will all get out. I have not forgotten the PAP's still in PGN and I am dedicated to praying until they are OUT!!

What about the new ADA statement?? It states that all adoptions in PGN are on hold until further notice?

Kristine, Go read the thread on the ADA post. A lot of us have commented on our take on it.
