Parkersito's 4th Gotcha Day!
Hello everyone!!
It is hard to believe that we are celebrating Parker's 4th Gotcha Day tomorrow! I remember the night of April 17th, 2004...sitting in the Marriott hotel room with Rod preparing for the next day...the day we would see Parker for the first time. It was finally here...we had been waiting so long to bring him home...it almost didn't seem real! We had so many questions...what would he be dressed in?, what would he be doing?, would he like us?, would he cry? what would his fostermom say to us?...I could go on and on. The questions were endless. The one thing we know for sure is that there was no question that he was supposed to be our son! Words cannot express how much we love him! Each year that he has been home I have created a Gotcha Day Reflections photoshow that begins with his referral picture and reflects on the year that has passed. This year has been a great one. It has been full of ups and downs, but we always remember what life is really all about when we look into Parker's eyes each day!! We also have celebrated his Gotcha Day with a party and this year will not be different. On Saturday we will celebrate with family and friends and light 4 candles on his cake...one for each year that he has been home! Steph - each year that I watch that video, I have to remind myself that it is a video of PARKER, not JACOB!!!
Their similarities are amazing. That picture of Parker shooting the basketball looks almost EXACTLY like one I have of Jacob. Think its time for a DNA test to see if they are related?!?!  AND one more thing..... I didn't ever realize that Parker was ALSO born on the 18th.... another 18 connection for us. (Jacob's b-day is Feb 18, Celeste's b-day is Dec. 18th... and we have many other 18 connections I am sure I probably told you about already!) Are you coming to Branson this summer? We need to get the TWINS together again!! Last year was SO fun!!!

Congratulations on 4 years! Where does the time go. I have been remembering all week this week. Tomorrow is Evvy's 1 year anniversary of coming home. I can't believe it has been a year!

Thanks everyone...it is amazing how time flies by once they are home. My advice is to enjoy every minute!!!
Cindy...I think I knew that your two were born on the 18th. Parker was born on the 18th and his Gotcha Day is the 18th! Too weird! I don't think we're coming to Branson, but we are still planning on Tan-Tar-A!!!!! We can't wait to meet everyone!
