I don't object to a different time - I had been thinking we would make it a picnic and 2 doesn't really suit that. Then again, doesn't have to be a picnic - that was just a thought. But I don't know if there was discussion about doing it at 2pm so I don't want to say change it. We need some others to chime in. The date and place were suggested and agreed upon but time hasn't been commented on much.

I'm in. Time is OK but I'm flexible my girls are a little older 2 & 4. Place is good for me too. The pic nic idea sounds fun. Hope to see lots you there.

Whatever time is cool with us. Picnic or not, no biggie either. DH makes the best brownies ever, so if we do food that's what I think I should bring. I married him for his brownies. LOL, seriously, he made them for me the first time we met and they won my heart. There is nothing boxed about them. Besides a man that can cook and/or bake-gotta have some of that!

I can't wait to meet ya'll. This is so exciting, May 3 is only 2.5 weeks away.

Hate to be the one to bring this up-what if it rains? I get that we will have to reschedule or something but what about letting everyone know. Yes, we have the forum but some people will be coming from a distance and it might not be raining where they are. Any thoughts?

Okay, let's make an executive decision. I'm going to say let's meet at 4pm at Pinkerton Park on May 3rd since everyone seems to like the afternoon idea and someone said 5 and someone else said 3. I think 4 is a good compromise so no one gets home too late if you do early bedtimes. If anyone wants to tweek the time further, I have no objection - just feeling like we need to get the time set.

Yes, feel free to invite any other adopting family you know - Guatemala or anywhere else. And if any one asks, I would invite families in process if they would like to join us too. All are welcome.

The web says there is 1 large pavillion and 2 medium - anyone know anything about this park? (Someone suggested it originally - any ideas?) Do we need to reserve it or is it first come first serve? If we can get a pavillion, do we want to do a potluck picnic? Everyone can bring a dish and their own plates, utensils and drinks.

Glad to hear others are okay with anyone touched by adoption coming.

4pm sounds good. Late enough for a meal, early enough for us 7:30pm bedtimes.
