Question Mini Van's???

Hello, I have a question for you guys who have a mini van and either LOVE it or HATE it.I never thought I would be a mini van owner, but one day we spent the day with my cousin who owns one and It was sooooo easy to get the kids in and out and they really seemed to love it.

We are thinking about the Honda or the Nissan Quest??If any of you have these and could give me any Insight about it, I would so Appreciate it!
And if you would suggest any other model's that you love, i would love to hear all comments!!Thank's a Bunch!!!

I am a reluctant Toyota Sienna owner. It is very convenient and roomy, but the gas mileage is terrible, and I feel ten years older when I drive it. Good luck!

Hi

I also thought I would NEVER be a minivan owner. We rented a minivan to travel last year and knew we could not turn back for all of the reasons you stated. I bought the Honda Odyssey and LOVE IT. It also has an eco drive option in every vehicle that saves on gas. It is rated very well in Consumer Reports. Check out the Toyota Sienna too. They are rated well and maybe even higher this year. They are both excellent vehicles. I think I remember the Quest not being recommended by Consumers. Check it out. Good luck with your decision! You won't be sorry you took the plunge!

Snook, I too am considering a mini van. I'm afraid to become a mini van driver, but piling all of our stuff and the kid, into our 4-Runner is becoming a pain... I need more room and more ease of use...

Good luck! Keep us posted on your purchase and experience!!!

I absolutely love our Dodge Grand Caravan. It is a 2003 so it doesn't have all the latest things like Stow n Go seating and DVD players but it has never given me any trouble and we drive lots.

HOnestly we would have preferred a Honda Odyssey if we could afford it. But we've never regretted buying this van and plan to run it til it dies (or we don't need it anymore so when kids are in college, lol???) We never test drove the Nissan Quest as they weren't available here in Canada yet at that time, but we loved our Nissan Pathfinder and Nissan Sentra that we had previously.

I just bought I new car tody!

I looked at the Chrysler Town and Country, Honda Odyssey (out of my price range!), and the Kia Rondo. I ended up with the Rondo. I just wasn't ready to make that mini-van jump yet!

I did really like the Town and Country, though.

Kia sedona owner.
I went from single and traveling for job to a step mom and now mom to Thomas. We NEEDED a minivan with 4 kids.
The Kia had (at the time) the highest safety rating.
I was leery about KIA, but we are on 50K miles and NO problems and it is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO easy with kids.
GO FOR IT!
What's wrong with a minivan??? Who cares??? It gets you from point a to b

I swore that I would never buy a minivan..well, never say never. I have a 2006 Honda Odyssey and I LOVE it. Two other families at my church loved mine so much that recently both purchased the 2008 model of the Odyssey. They love them too!

I have a Honda Odyssey. I like it. It is the 3rd van we've had and my favorite was the Dodge Caravan. We also had a Chrysler Town and Country. The air conditioning blew up in it sending metal fragments through the engine. We had to get rid of it.

Toyota Sienna "04 and it is an 8 seater. We love it. Another one that many people like is the Honda Odyssey eventhough I have a friend that had a Toyota van and then bought an Honda Odyssey and she preffered the Toyota van. Also all mini vans are not the same. I find the Sienna is a "BIG" mini van eventhough it is our little car. We have a larger family so the 8 th seat and head support, lap shoulder belts in all 8 th seats was pretty much a must for us. Currently there are some other brands that now offer the 8 th seat. Also in the Sienna my adult children have space to sit including leg room. If you have fewer children and they are younger a smaller van might make more sense. Have fun shopping. Anna

Honday Odysee here. LOVE IT! I vowed that I would have have a minivan, but gave in with 2 little ones and a black lab. It is so convenient and with the dog, it is the best. I love that you can rearrange the seats anyway that you want and that the 3rd row folds completely flat. LOVE IT!!!!

I have a Chrysler Town & Country --- I love it!!!!

If your getting a minivan make sure it has stow & go seating and keyless entry with power doors.
I just recently traded my DODGE CARAVAN in on the T&C it is a 2005 but completely loaded -- DVD and everything. I LOVE IT!!!!!

P.S. I never buy new -- my vehicles are always used.

Toyota Sienna owener here and I LOVE IT! We have leather seats, four Captains chairs with a bench in the rear, DVD player which the kids totally enjoy. Drives like a dream, I've had it for two years and wouldn't think of trading it in for anything. I totally understand what you mean about driving a mini-van, not the coolest vehicle, but it sure is the most practical when you have little kids.
