Help... what document states the adoption is final?

What is the "Adoption Degree" needed for insurance purposes? Some of you have mentioned this but I don't know what it is. Our insurance wants a document that has the following... in English, states childs new name, both parents names and signatures and states that the adoption is legal and final.

What would that be? We have offered the new BC( Spanish from Guat), the visa and am going to try the COC we just received.

Help please... we have to get the insurance problem fixed.

Thanks,

Kaila,

We sent our insurance company the Protocolo, the PGN decree, and the BC. Ours also had the translations attached - do yours??

I'll have to check... at this point in time with 6 kiddos, two only home a month and the older testing EVERY limit possible... I'm surprised I could even type my message clearly.

Did you get all the paperwork you mentioned at pick up? You know, without an agency or facilitator, I'm not sure if we have everything we need.

By the way... Can you beleive the girls are 19 months?

Yes you get these documents on pick-up. My facilitator gave them to me. When you got your girls, who dropped them off? Did they give you a yellow envelope (opened, not sealed) with these things in it?

I can't believe the girls are 19 mos!!! I'm amazed. It seems like just yesterday they were referral pictures. What size is your sweety pie in? We're finally saying adios to 6-12 and moving more into 18 mos!

We picked the girls up from the foster mom in Antigua. The attorney sent a man to help us with our Embassy appointment. I went back thru all our papers and finally found the PGN and protocolo. Thanks for your help.

Maizee is wearing a 12-18 months. Just 18 months is a little big in the body length but a 12 months is too short in the arms and legs. And she wears a size 5 shoe. They told us she was a size 3 but Stride Rite thought differently.

Oh good I'm glad you found it!

My husbands company was super lazy with the insurance company and waited until the very last day possible!

How is Maizee's adjustment coming along?
