Anyone Use IntelliGenetics for DNA?
We are going to be getting our passport tomorrow and then are ready for Orange. I see a lot of people using LabCorp for their DNA test. Our agency uses IntelliGenetics. Has anyone else used them and how long do they take?

We did. Authorization on 2/5. DNA taken on 2/8. DNA was at Intellegentics on about 2/12 and they shipped it back to embassy (was there on 2/19). We were PINK on 2/22.
Lady to call there is Ines. She will give you your case #, etc. Someone on the board should have her number - if not, PM me and I'll try to dig it up. We were happy with them!

We used them....We were there for 8 days? Counting a weekend in between. Hope your stay is sooner then mine was!!

I used them as well and it took us 12 days from the time they took the DNA sample and when it reached the USE. They are very nice there. Ines and her husband own the Lab and she called me when the test was completed and she also told me when it was mailed to the USE.

Great experience with them; they are honest and likeable.
In our case, our adoption agency and the lawyers in Guatemala were having trouble coordinating the 2nd DNA test, and eventually our adoption agency dropped out of the picture complteley. Ines, the wonderful lady who answers the phones at Intelligenetics, went above and beyond to help us. She kept us in the loop constantly as to whether the sample had arrived and helped us send emails to the right people to get things moving. We quickly learned she was our most reliable source of info; what's more, I can say she honestly cared about our case. When the sample finally got to her lab, they turned it around quickly and we got our pink fast! That said, I can't recommend them highly enough. We got home with our baby boy 2 weeks ago and just sent them our thanks - they really helped us in a time of need. Last edited by Twomooks : 03-05-2008 at 01:02 PM.
