Anyone live in NYC

Hi all,
I have to get another form authenticated and need to see if anyone would bring it to the Guat Consulate in NYC for me so I could get things moving a bit faster. Its just a two page document for a new POA. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had to do this numerous times and found next day FED EX worked great. It took a day for them to get it and if you include another FED EX form they will return it to you the next day.

Hope that helps!

Or you could use a courier service...check out legaleaze. com. We used them multiple times...great customer service and follow-up. Some $$$, but well worth the peace of mind!

I am in Pennsylvania and I Fed-Exed a document their and also included an envelope and they did it the day they got it and sent it right back. I kept the tracking number of the envelope I included and could track it when they sent it back.

I wouldn't pay the extra money for legal eaze for this. Use Fed Ex and send it yourself.

I express mailed documents several times (through 2 adoptions), and always had them back within 3 days (including the day to get there and the day to get back).

Do remember to send a money order, not a check.

When I sent documents over the summer, they wouldn't return them via Fed Ex.! I had to send them an Express mail envelope! Call the Consulate's Office first----the number is (202) 745-4952. Ask for Pedro.

Good luck!

I see from your post that you live outside NYC and need someone to walk it over. It may actually be faster to send it Express Mail, and that way you'd have control over getting it back directly. This is their info, if you don't have it already. New York Guatemalan Consulate 57 Park Avenue New York, NY 10016 Phone: 212-686-3837

Call them up for details but remember to send a money order for $10 per document & include a self-addressed return package (they only mail via USPS so Express Mail is the way to go). I have gone in person; they will sometimes legalize the document while you wait. But, via Express Mail, I have received it in just days (they seem to have legalized it the same day of receipt, they mailed it out the next day, and I got it on the 3rd day).

Good luck!
