UT-OH!!! Pampers & Unicef

I received my big diaper order today from Diapers.com and guess what? The big box of Pampers Cruisers size 5.... had a big sticker on. PAMPERS supports UNICEF.

YIKES! I am so against buying from companies that support Unicef.

With multiple kids in the house wearing diapers.... we use Cruisers, Pull Ups, and Swimmies!

Ughh - the other products that support Unicef have been so easy to give up. We really like Pampers Cruisers the best! Looks like I need to investigate other diapers or potty train QUICK before this box of diapers runs out.

By the way... I love diapers.com They ship right to your house and with a $50 order there is no shipping fee and I got the order the very next day. Saved me time and money because if I went to the store for them I would have bought other stuff too that I didn't need. lol AND they have a $10 off for your first order (code: mother). They also give you a cash back credit in your account for your next order.

Off to investigate diaper options. I have tried Luvs and Huggies in the past and do not care for them. We do use Huggies overnights for bed though and love them.

hi jane,
it's unbelieveable that unicef has such a positive reputation. if people only knew the truth....

i too am a diapers.com fan. i've been using the nature's babycare diapers. they are supposedly the pampers of europe and they are considered very "green". i am actually due for a reorder and was debating whether to order the pampers or the nature's babycare. your post decided it for me.

by the way. i also like the 7th generation baby wipes.

we use cloth diapers almost exclusively except when traveling for long distances in car where we won't have a washing machine at the end of the trip.

I love, love, love cloth diapers and wouldn't give them up for anything!

That said, when we do need to use disposable diapers (as indicated above) we use the Costco Kirkland ones and they work well.

Feel free to pm me if you want any info on cloth. I have one son (came home last June) and a daughter (who we will pick up in a few weeks).

Does someone have a list of the brands that support UNICEF...we love Pampers too, but once we run out of what we have, I won't be buying them again.

We use Luvs or Huggies here. Nothing beats Huggie Overnights! I have use the Sam's club brand too which was fine, but I do think they seem smaller than the size they say they are so if you're on the cusp opt for the larger size.

I saw this today at Target and was planning to post. So glad I saw yours. I was buying diapers for my pick-up trip for Eli. I usually buy Rosie's on amazon (subscribe and save program) so she's got plenty right now. I was planning to buy the swaddlers for Eli, but I walked right down the aisle to the Huggies and put those in my cart. I just couldn't support Unicef! What were they thinking?

Partnership Descriptions - UNICEF USA

Main link. Then you can go to the individual sites to see their list of products. I may not be a fan of UNICEF, but I am a fan of several products from companies that partner with them.

Pampers

I would send them back and attach a note that explains that you no longer wish to purchase products from a company that supports UNICEF (and possibly a brief description why). We leave for p/u in 10 days and I now have to investigate different diapers, I don't like Huggies and we don't have a Costco where I live .

Let us know if you do send them back if you get a response

Hi all! This is my first post : )
I also have noticed that on the Pampers' website, you can donate your Pampers points to UNICEF. I've always used Pampers and have become a recent fan of Huggies overnights.

Wow. I love Pampers! Even so, I refuse to support Unicef. So...I am doing my research to switch brands. My husband actually bought the generic diapers at Longs Drug Store a couple of weeks ago because we desperately needed diapers and he was already there. We actually thought they were great. That must have happened for a reason, huh? They were cheap too! Maybe I will just go with them. The other day we were at Disneyland in the baby center and I saw a young mother using cloth diapers like a champ! She had her system down to store the dirty ones and didn't even flinch like it was an inconvenience. I felt guilty for not doing my part for the Earth in the diaper department. I even mentioned it to DH afterwards because I admired her and felt guilty. Maybe that happened for a reason too...

This post is hilarious to me because yesterday, I received a big box from diapers.com, too and my size 4 Pampers Cruisers box had the same sticker! When my hubby came home from work I said "what are we going to do now?" These are the only diapers that fit our skinny toddler! Let me know what you find out. I love diapers.com, too!
