Our paperwork was not ready in time :(
We apparently never even made the December cut-off and finally found out yesterday. Honestly, we're doing ok. I still don't feel like this is the end and so we are back to waiting again. Please pray for those of us who didn't make the cut-off and those who didn't get registered. Pray that Guatemala finds a way to re-open in the future.

I am really sorry! Those two kids have had a long road! But God has something great in store for those two kiddos!!!!!!! And they are already a part of your family and hearts! I wish you the very best of luck and that one day they will get to join your family at home!

Dawn I'm so sorry. (((((((((HUGS))))))))) I just don't know what to say. I know you will never give up on those kids - I will keep praying that things open up again so that you can find a way to get them home to you. I really wasn't prepared to see this post - I am just sitting here crying for you and for the kids. You are such a good mom to them, Dawn. I'm really so sorry. :-(

I to am very sorry.
I do have hope that Guatemala will open very soon. The Guat CA has shown great determination by extending their hrs and working into the night, to get as many registrations done in such a short time. I believe that their determination shows that they will work quickly in the future to help children who need homes, find homes. I don't think they will wait years for a child's options to run out and then seek an international placement, this new CA really seems to have the "best" at heart for the children. I wan to adopt a boy very bad, and I didn't have the large amount of money needed to make the DEC deadline, so, I am waiting too. I think our main wait will be the US getting their CA together! Hopefully, they will have it in April and soon after that, we can submit to them through an approved agency to adopt a child in April or even May

Mommy to C&C Still praying...for 1 more 10/17/07-Found you 10/22-It's official 11/12-rec COA 12/21-entire dossier rec'd by atty 12/22-subm for PA 1/23/08-agency says case in "grave jeopardy" 2/12-rec PA 2/15-FLOP-WHY  8/6-begged agency for atty to establish case w/CNA 8/13-agency says 'not likely' b/c we didn't VISIT ...new atty=new hope 10/13-new atty talks to CNA->We qualify for regularization  10/21-Confirmed COA from agency is not a COA. Never even filed 11/5-prior atty wants to "check" on us.Tells new atty he was never pd by agency! Agrees to give our file IF we release him of all liab  1/6/09-rec the real COA! Petition to be filed with CNA tomorrow!  2/10-'old' atty won't release our file...w/out PAYING a fee! So much for release of liability  2/16-Agree to pay file ransom 4/29-File FINALLY given to new atty 5/19-CNA officially approves us to begin adoption; accepts dossier NOW MORE HOOPS

Dawn, I'm so sorry. Whatever happens going forward, these are the kids of your heart. I know they will be a part of your life forever, whatever happens on paper. I'm sure this is not the end of the journey, and that someday your son and daughter will come home with you.
