Airplane ANyone check in for flight day before in GC?

I am in GC right now and have a crazy early flight tomorrow.
My agency said for me to go to airport today and check in.
Has anyone done this before? THen they said we could just go through 1st class line at airport tomorrow to drop off bags and no waiting in line!!

TIA!

Well, I guess if you're flying first/ business class they will let you through the expedited line but be prepared for them to send you back to the end of the other line. If you are going to check in you should be able to do so electronically from your hotel - assuming you're at a hotel with internet service and a printer.

Every time we went to Guat we checked in the day before...however we used the American and Continental desks at the Marriott to do this. It was much smoother in the morning for our early flights. Where are you staying? What airline are you flying? Maybe you could go to one of the ticket offices at one of the hotels instead of going to the airport...depending on what airline you are flying. I don't think you have to be staying at the hotel in order to use the ticket offices located in the hotel. They never asked for proof of staying at the hotel when we prechecked in.

Good Luck!

We did it via Continental online. All we did was print it off from the hotel. You can get better seats this way.

I haven't done that, and don't know about the first class line, but have been hearing about that option the last few days on our boards. I wonder if it depends on what airline. At the very least, I'd consider going to the business center in your hotel and checking in online.

We have flown Continental in the past, and have used the reservations office in the Marriott. This has allowed us to check in the day before (within 24 hours of the flight). We were instructed when we checked in there to go to the First Class line. It worked like a charm, as we were moved through with no problems at all - and we were flying coach (and on frequent flier miles besides!).
The Continental - and other airline desks - are for the general public, and are located at the hotels for convenience. So, if you have time to check in the day before, it can really remove a lot of headaches and time the following day at the airport. And in our case, it was an early morning flight, so it was great to "catch a break" while we were still waking up.
