leaving for pick up/suggestions
We are leaving tomorrow for pick up. I have not been reading the forums much lately. I've been busy enought just getting ready to go and making sure the kids at home will be ok. We are so very excited. Here's the questions. Have there been any developments that we should be aware of? I know the new President was sworn in. but is there any unrest. Do we need to stay in the hotel a lot. I want to be cautious but not afraid unless there is cause to be. Any suggestions of things to do, avoid, look into, or out for. Thanks Vicki

I haven't heard of any problems lately. I informed my attorney of a visit trip today and asked if we could stay in Antigua and she was OK with it. On our trip in September when tensions were a little higher she advised us to stay in Guatemala City, so I think that says a little bit as to the state of things.
The only thing I have heard is that one person had to cancel a visit trip because of rotovirus. They said that lots of babies that were in the hotels were getting it. I know when I was on pickup with Maria that was a huge problem so we didn't go into the baby lounge. Have a wonderful trip!! |
