Oh, gosh, guys, this is taking so long. I got out of PGN on 11/28. The 2nd DNA was taken on 1/7, and it arrived at LabCorp on 1/9 (Wednesday). I just saw that someone just got their pink with an appointment date of 1/28, so where does that put me?

I originally thought I'd be traveling for pick-up the week of 1/7, now it might not even be January!

Help me estimate, please, when might I get pink?

I think it's a crap shoot! We have been logged in since 1/3 with no appointment. Others have been waiting longer, some shorter. We too thoughts we'd travel the second week of jan. no it's no telling. good luck and I hope we all get appointments as soon as possible, all our children are just getting older and older.

We are also waiting. DNA done on 12/21 and still no appointment. The wait for Pink is much harder than I thought it would be.

Wishing you speedy PINK's!!!! I am completely in agreement that the wait for PINK is so hard I would call your senators if the 4 day window passes.

jordi - the PINK appts are normally given 2-4 business days after the 2nd DNA is received at USE...however, there is no rhyme or reason with the timing I was shocked that the USE is scheduling the appts so far out....a while back they were giving 1 week to travel but now it is more like 2-3.... I am not sure if perhaps folks complained about the short travel window - my personal opinion is that I'd rather travel sooner than later - that's just my opinion though!

2 things I would do. After your 2nd DNA has been to the USE 2 business days (not including fridays, weekends or holidays) I would email the adoption unit at the state.gov address. Tell them you are making sure they got your 2nd dna results and checking on your pink status. and i would call your senators office and ask them to make an inquiry on your behalf. in the use auto reply--it is still saying to give them 48 hours after all final docs are submitted, so give them the 48 hours, if no pink email them and I would call your senator. I know that is controversial, but i would ask them to make an inquiry to make sure they didn't type in your email address wrong. just my dos quetzales! Good luck!

Ya, I noticed that, instead of the usual 8 days from pink to appointment, it's now 19 (just saw a 1/10 pink given an appointment of 1/29)! Weird how they're scheduling them so far out.

Yes and I personally have seen appts for the 22 then the rest of the week skipped and then they seem to have moved to the 28th??? Maybe I have just missed the 23-25 but I have not seen any at all those days.

We are a 1/23 appt--but an 8am--we got it same day as others that were getting 1/22 appts--maybe they are filling up with people that are not on the boards. I know a lot of people do not even look on these boards--i enjoy it, but for some it is too stressful. hope to see more pinks today.

Hey there-- our DNA results must have been in that same package. It was drawn 12/21 and results arrived 1/4, along with some other people's. Are you and I the only ones left from that batch still waiting for pink?

I too saw some dates skipped in that Jan 23 week--- maybe someone key is on vacation?

I just feel sad that even though we got out of PGN in early December, we probably won't get our "not so much a baby" baby until February!!!
