Hi,
My son has been home for two and half years. I have tried unsuccessfully to file his G884 to get his additional visa documents returned to me. The first time, they requested the supplemental information a second time, the second time I received no reply.

My question for those who have successfully had their documents returned is as follows:

What name do you use on the application: 1) the birth name before given your last name, 2) the name given in Guatemala with your last name, but his given first name or 3) his name given upon return after the readoption process. His COC has the second version so that is how I filled out the application.

Any help would be appreciated.

the first time i submitted i was asked to re-send all docs notarized this time, the second time, i heard nothing until about 4 months later the packet came in teh mail...so maybe hearing nothing is not a bad thing? did you call and ask?

Thanks for these posts! I submitted for DS's G884 on November 7th and so far I haven't heard anything. I guess I have to wait a couple more months to hear. BTW, I adopted DS in 2000 so It's been a long time!
