DNA Results Problem - Need Advice

Hi Group,

I got my DNA results a few weeks ago. When I got the hard copy in the mail I realized that our last name was spelled wrong. I immediately contacted Labcorp. They said it was the US Embassy in Guatemala that had originally spelled our name wrong. I asked them to resend the results with the correct spelling. However, this document will arrive more than a week after the original results arrived in GT. My questions are:

1) Do you think this will set us back a week from getting PA?
2) Do you think the mispelled name could come back to haunt us at the visa appt or some other time?

3) Should I contact the embassy and bring the misspelling to their attention?

Thanks.

MA

In my opinion, I would be more concerned with documents clearing PGN. That is where the kick outs occur. DNA testing is a US requirement so I doubt it would affect PGN... but I would personally go ahead and get the DNA results corrected to be on the safe side and I would call and speak to someone so that it doesn't set you back.

Sorry this has happened. I know how stressed you must be with the timing of everything.

Best wishes
Shelly

It may affect you in PGN as far as your name affadavit. You may need to redo it to reflect the mispelling of your name on the DNA document. I was told any spelling of your name has to be included. It may be an easy fix but best to get to it now before PGN.
Call your agency they could help you out more.
