OT-airtran airlines

Hi

Just wondering if anyone has flown AirTran airlines? I never heard of them and in searching for flights from Newark to Florida, they are really priced RIGHT!!

Thanks

airtran is all I fly. I love them and yes they are cheap. you can buy a coach seat and if there is business class available at check in you can upgrade for like $35. that is what I do!

I think they are considered one of the "budget airlines" but we love them too...never been disappointed. I used to fly ATL - Colorado a lot...half the time took Delta and half the time took Airtran. NEVER disappointed, friendly crew, newer planes, good prices.

When my husband and I first got married - I lived on AirTran...flying back and forth to visit him in North Carolina from Dallas.

The stop in Atlanta wasn't bad - they had tons of places to eat and things to do - even if I stupidly booked a 4 or 5 hour stop.

Air Tran

I flew them from Milwaukee to Florida then Spirit to Guat. Air Tran was on time we upgraded at the Gate to First Class for $40 (couple glasses of wine before we ever took off - which made flying a whole lot easier!) I was 3 airplanes for me to get to Guat so it was a bit rough, but the price was right. I had heard nothing but bad things about them and I had a great experience, everyone was nice, they are anal about leaving on time and the plane was in one piece when we landed!!!!

Good Luck

I fly them all the time. They have a hub out of our little airport in Akron, OH. Always on time, priced right and very friendly!

Love, love, love them! We have had several tight connections with them in Atlanta and they have ALWAYS held the flights. They really try to take care of you.

Another :) for AirTran!

I HIGHLY recommend this airline.

I fly them about 3-4 times per year. They are a budget airline, but you wouldn't know it (the planes are new and well-maintained, and the service is first-rate). Although they are priced similar to Southwest, they have regular boarding by zones and assigned seating, which is perfect for travelling families.

I usually take the direct flight from Newport News to Boston to catch Red Sox games. As others have stated, they are reasonably priced, the employees are friendly, and the service is GREAT!

Another note, I've dealt with several of their employees and corporate folks on a professional level, and they were fabulous to work with!
