Flying through Houston - enough time????

Hi Forum Friends,

We are going for our pick up trip and flying through Houston. We are taking the 12:28 flight out of Guatemala. We only have a 2 hr, 15 min layover in Houston. Is that enough time to get through immigration and make it to our next flight?

We flew through Hoston 2 years ago and barely made our next flight, but I've heard people say Houston immigration is a breeze now.

Has anyone taken the later fligh (12:28) and made it through immigration in decent time?

Thanks so much!

We came through Houston back in April and that was enough time back then. Although, I will say that more times than not flights through Houston are delayed.
If there is later connecting flight other than the one you are taking I would say take your chances and take the 12ish flight. If it gets delayed the worst thing that happens is you try and get on the later connecting flight.

Thanks so much! I hope we have enough time. We just didn't want to take the 6:25AM flight with 2 kids.

We had 2 hours in December of 06 and had plenty of time. We weren't delayed and the lines were smooth..although they were long!!

If anyone can do it, Houston can! I love the Houston airport; their immigration rocks, in my opinion. I think you'll be fine.

PM me

We went through Houston as well and it was plenty of time. They will warn you at security if they think you'll miss your flight.

If you want to PM me, I am a meeting planner and have access to an airline computer reservation system and can check average on time preformance of the flights and any other alternatives for you.

Let me know! Good Luck!

We came through Houston back in April and spent 3.5 hrs in immigration. Not because there were long lines or a lot of people, we just seemed to catch them at diner and only 1 person working. Once everyone came back (some sitting at thier desk during that time) we were out of there in 5 min. We missed our connecting flight but were rebooked on the next flight out.

Have a WONDERFUL pickup trip!!!

(we were probably just 'lucky' )

We came through Houston on Tuesday and spent about an 1.5 hours in immigration....we flew in on that 12:28PM flight and I think we came in at a bad time as the room was packed....only 3 of us adopting families waiting to be processed. They called in extra help and things went pretty quickly after that. We had 2 1/2 hours between our flights and made it in plenty of time to grab a quick dinner.

HAVE A GREAT TRIP!!!
We enjoyed ours but our happy to be home.
