First, thanks to all of you for your comments. I tell you, when I need encouragement or help, I know where to come.

Today, I enrolled Zachary in a new 5-star daycare that is close to our house. I had already taken him over and toured the place but I felt that it was too expensive. SInce that time, I have been blessed with a new job and a $12k raise so now I can afford it! We were blessed that today when I called them, they had a space coming available and we got it! I went to the facility this morning and got him enrolled. I had to pay out of the wazoo for that....registration fee and first week's tuition (which is non-refunable until we give notice and leave the center) so that was tough...but hey, they ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS!! Praise GOD!!! ;-)) So I feel SO much better now. I have to give notice when I go pick Zachary up today. I am a little nervous about it and feel really sick that he is having to leave his one teacher who he REALLY loves and she loves him. She also babysits him on the side for me. She will understand though...I'm sure. It's just something that I feel like I have to do.

Also, this new center is not just a daycare center but is a learning center. All of their teachers are certified and have gone through extensive training and have lots of experience. The place is SUPER clean...which I LOVE!!! Also, there is no moaning and groaning constantly about how they need more help...how they can't handle all of the children, etc. That always stresses me out first thing in the morning when I hear it.

Wish me luck giving notice this afternoon. I'll post an update later tonight.

That sounds like a wonderful solution for everyone (except your bank account - but hey that is life with a child)!! Wishing you all the best this afternoon - remember you are his mommy and you have every right to do what you think is best for your little sweetie.

Oh, I'm so happy you did this. I know the exta money stinks but hopefully you will both be much happier at this new center. Keep us posted!!!
