I just can't help but think that sometimes when I see pictures of new babies!

I'll look at a baby and think, "hmmmm... that baby's nose looks like Celeste's nose"... or "his hair sticks up just like Jacob's did at that age"....

It just gets me wondering...

Anyone else??

Yes, of my current babies but not my older adopted children as they have a one of a kind look. I have never seen any chidlren here or in Guatemala that look like my 17 yr old DS and 16 yr old DD. Actually some of the children look so much like one of my babies that I check the birth dates but sofar it would not have been possibly. Anna

A couple of times I've been tempted to PM someone and ask if their child has the same birth mother as mine. So far I have been too chicken to actually do it.

I'm not sure what I would do if I did locate their birth siblings.

Yes, I wonder about that all the time. And when I first got Grace's referral, someone pm'd me to ask if her birthmother had the same name as their child (no, they were different). I also fear that a future sibling may be available and I somehow won't hear of it and will miss out on the opportunity to adopt Grace's bio sib.

Yes I think that quite often. There was one boy who looked so much like Shay that I called the agency to see if he had the same birthmom. He didn't.

Someone actually told me this story that there was a sibling available for one of her children, and they didn't contact her b/c of a rift between the 2, and by the time they found out, the child was being adopted by another family....SO....I check all the time...and look, and study, and I even emailed an agency once when this pic looked so much like eli and they had the same last name.

I also have thought that as well! In fact there was a baby girl my mother and I saw at the embassy during John's appointment that looked so much like him that the other family did a double take too!

I guess that has been my concern too... we were told that Celeste's birthmom was pregnant again and due back in December 2006, but the attorney never heard anything about it again. I obsessively checked all referrals around that time, worrying that she was pregnant but placed with a different agency (that happened with our son - he has a bio-sister who was placed through a different agency) BUT Celeste's birthmom has already placed 3 children using our agency, so I feel somewhat confident that if she placed again, it would be through our agency.
But, then again - who knows!!
