My agency says I need a color copy of our passports. So I went to office max, and they told me it's against the law. Something to do with copyrights?? Now what??! I don't want to do something illegal!??

They can not copy it for you, but you can make a copy yourself on the self serve machines.

You can also enlarge it a bit. This will make it so it is not an exact copy.

We went to kinkos and there were self serve machines. They told us the same thing... they could not do it for us but we could do it ourselves.

my local office max or depot doesn't have self service machines as well. usually a fedex kinkos has one.

Try a different store then. What about Kinko's?

we don't have a kinkos. office max is the only store of it's kind in the area. I'm waiting to hear back from our agency as to their suggestions..

My post office has copy machines- perhaps you could it there- also the grocery store and the library are other options- at least in my area.

my computer printer is also a color copier (and it is not an expensive printer) Ask your friends....maybe someone has one that you could use.

Also....I didn't have a color "copier" but, had a scanner & color printer. So....I scanned to my coputer & then printed it out. Nothing to it. I BET That you have a friend with a scanner & color copier.
