Angry Raised seal vs. stamp--will PGN KO??
Help please!!

Finally got my remaining doc back from a county clerk's office (it's been holding up everything else)--and the clerk's verification seal is just a STAMPED seal!! It says "Official Seal" and has his info on it, etc., but it's just a stamp! And he did it in black ink, filled in the stmt with black ink, etc. so it all looks like a total photocopy. Is PGN still cracking down on things having the raised seal?

I called the clerk's office back and they said they'd redo it for me if I bring it in, but they are highly upset with me (they did it for free now I'm asking them to re-do it). I tried to explain that while I appreciate it so much, that I don't think the courts will let it thru like this b/c they like originals. She said to bring it in and she'd "see what she can do". What??????

So is PGN still a stickler for this or should I let this gal slide???

I asked this question when I was in the paperchase and I was told that the stamped seal is what is being used now. I was also told that some states don't even have the raised seal anymore. I don't think it's an issue. I hope not because all of my papers are just stamped.

Many of our items only had stamped seals and so far so good with PGN. My agency said it wouldn't be a problem.

our seals were actually big gold stickers. we didn't have any problems.

All my documents were stamped without the raised seal for J.R.'s dossier and we did not receive any previous for it.

My new dossier has the same thing and I am not concerned about it. Don't stress, I have not seen anyone receive a previo for that lately!

Some states are now requiring that the stamp or seal be visible when a document is copies. If the raised seal isn't "shaded", it often can't be read. That is why many notaries are now using the ink stamp type.

Most of ours are a stamp with black ink and (Knock on wood!) it hasn't been a problem.
