Has anyone gotten their passort lately? Their website says 10-12 weeks and it has been 11 already. My son wants to go on our pick up trip when ever it is time.
Which I am hoping will be sometime in August.
I just hope that his passport is back in time.

I received my son's on July 5th and I had it expedidted (sp? - sorry getting late in the day) and online it said it would take 2 - 3 weeks after I submitted it. But it took 4 weeks.

I hope you get it in time!

What did it say when checked on the status? That may give you some idea, unless of course it just says in process. I used that when I got my passport and it was very accurate.

Thanks for reminding me catsnkids. I rechecked the
site today and it said it was mailed out and we should have it by Wed. The last time I checked it it said not found or something weird. But anyway it does look like passports are taking 12 weeks.

Glad it is on its way. We applied for bailey's expedited passport in January and got it in April. Yep you read that right. They made a mistake on hers and it took forever to correct so we had to go on our visit trip without her.

Just so you know, my mom sent away for a renewal on her passport, the first week of January... YES, JANUARY... it finally came in the mail on Monday... of this week! She called to check on the status, and the office said that they were totally backlogged now that everyone needs a passport to go to Mexico, Canada, and the Caribbean... So if anyone else needs to send away for one, better do it early!

I had to call my senator's office to get involved to get my son's passport, which we paid to expedite and it never showed up. Once she got involved, we received my son's passport very quickly. If you don't get the passport on the 12th week, call your senator's office. Our senator's office was extremely nice and very helpful and we got our passport really fast after she got involved.
