Get-together in SE Michigan July 9th?
A Forum member who couldn't make it to the picnic yesterday was hoping we could plan another get togther for early July.

If I promise not to give out directions, plan a definite meeting spot, and give out my cell number in case we get separated, (see, I am learning!) would anyone be up for a get-together of some kind on July 9th? Zoo, a park, any other ideas?

Bug House @ MSU
is having an open house in EL on Wed. July 11 10 am to 2 pm. Regular free admission for the general public is on Mondays 5:30 - 7:30. Otherwise, one needs to make a reservation for a 1 hour guided tour @ a cost of $30 (for 1-30 people). The next available tour date is July 25.

My kids are into bugs BIGTIME lately and I'm planning on taking them on 7/11, then to the essential stop at the campus dairy store for some ice cream. If people want to make this our July SE MI gathering, please let Debbie know. If this doesn't become the group activity, you are more than welcome to join us . I'll post a reminder thread closer to the date.

My kids have swim lessons in the morning so afternoons are much better for me.

The bug house would be great, particularly one of the later tours. I'm up for most anything though.

Count me in for the 9th if that date is still in consideration...I have an appt at 9:30am but then I have the rest of the day to play!!! Just let me know! I am THAT email that was not able to show to the picnic and I would LOVE to get together! I miss my forum friends and I am sure Lincoln will have a ball this time because he is very mobile now!

I'm not sure yet as they haven't released the swim lesson schedule. There shouldn't be a problem with me being there at 1:00, however. If my kids have lessons earlier in the morning (say at 9:30) then I could be thereby 11:30 or 12.

Sorry to be so indecisive. I don't want you to have to plan around me, so if an earlier tour works better for everyone else, don't sweat it.

I'll see what i can find out about schedules and let you know.

If anyone else is interested on getting together on the 9th let me know! I am having a surgery on the 11th and won't be able to go to the bug house...BUMMER! I really want to get together for a playdate, I think it will be a while before I can get together after that. Just let me know - THANKS
