Pinch me!!! I MUST be crazy!
I have 3 bio children! When DH first brought up the adoption subject a few months ago, I told him he was CRAZY! and that our family was complete and perfect and I was not interested in another baby. After alot of soul searching and prayer, I am ready for this! I sooo desire to have baby again. totally blow me away! My heart is totally vested now and I am looking forward to our journey. or getting to the end of it!
BUT, I keep finding myself secretly hoping that twins will referred to us. WHAT??? 5 kids? THAT IS CRAZY! But, that thought is always there. I briefly mentioned it to DH and he was like "NO WAY!" but there is just something there, hoping and wishing. CRAZY huh?

Not crazy - just follow your heart. We're in the same boat. This just feels SOOO right, we couldn't ignore it anymore.

You must follow your heart. Only you and dh know what is right for your family. Crazy? No way. Sounds like your home is full of love and you have a lot to share with more children.

You're Not Crazy
I think it's awesome to see that you are willing to bring more children into your home. We have 4 bio sons and are adopting a baby girl, so we'll have 5 soon. It's so nice to see "larger" families now-a-days. It's weird, a few days ago the 4 boys were in the living room together and I felt like I was missing a child, well, I'm missing our daughter already. At times it seems like 4 children aren't that many.
Wish you the best in your journey. By the way, I'm a twin -- I hope you get your twins!!!

Three years ago I was right where you are! We had three bios and my husband knew before I did that we would adopt. We set out to adopt a daughter and ended up adding a daughter AND a son to our family!
At the time I thought we were crazy too and five kids seemed like ALOT. But you know, it's really not all that different from three...honestly. If you're already out numbered what's a couple more.  And now (here's my crazy part), I sometimes find myself counting heads and thinking....five...that just doesn't seem right...like someone is missing! But I'm waiting for the Hague/Adoption law stuff to settle out before allowing the bug to bite again. Congrats on your decision! Kim

Crazy...no way!!!!! I had 4 bios and then adopted 5 kids!! I am now raising my 4 year old grandson, too. The way I look at it, the more the merrier....

I must proudly say that I don't find this surprising at all. I'm going to put it simple:

Thanks everyone! DH read visited this board tonight for the first time. He isnt registered so he was just browsing! but he found this thread and said NO WAY! I think he wants to have me institutionalized! lol!

NO you are not crazy. We have bio children and when we decided tro adopt I felt the same...like there were two! (7 children...I felt it was crazy too) But, there definately was something there! So we did it...We are adopting a baby(turned 1 yesterday) and a toddler (3years old). We had very unique experiences in finding both of them. After visiting with both girls in February, I am so grateful we followed our heart! They are great and we just can't wait to bring them home into our family! Good luck to you and your family!
