Anyone Else Just Starting Out??
Hi, everyone!! My husband and I have decided on an agency and a homestudy service, and plan to sign up with them tommorrow! I am wondering if there is anyone else out there about to begin the paper chase that I can kibbitz with

We are sort of there with you ... we acepted referreal of a little boy in April and just decided last weekend to pursue a little girl at the same time. So I am paperchasing for dossier number 2! We just had our HS amended and are trying to get our 171 amended!
Good luck! It's quite a journey!

Hi Laura! I've been wondering the same thing. Seems like there aren't too many beginners out there, with the situation with Guatemala being so uncertain.
Anyway, I have two kiddos, and one on the way. Am due in four or five weeks, or whenever my doctors get tired of seeing me in their offices  We have just decided to adopt no. four. This was not something I was really planning on doing right now, but my agency has had a waiting toddler boy for over three months now and still no family for him. He has some special needs, and DH and I have been praying about him since we first learned about him in Feb. So, we hope to have our appointment to update our homestudy sometime next week, and I've started collecting dossier documents. Glad I'm not the only starter (or re-starter?) on the forum!

We are just finishing up the chase for our second Guatemalan adoption. We accepted the referral of a baby girl in April. We brought our Guatemalan son home in February (he's now 1) and we have a 3 year old we adopted from foster care. There are a few of us starters or restarters out there!
