Sue Patterson speaks in Cincy
Friends Through Guatemalan Adoption in Cincinnati hosts many events throughout the year. We try to host at least two speakers related to Guatemala each year. We would like to extend an invitation to the AF community to attend one of those lectures that is quickly approaching:
On June 11th, Sue Patterson, former vice consul for the US Embassy in Guatemala in the 1990's and now founder of WINGS (WINGS - Reproductive Healthcare for Every Guatemalan) and board member of Behrhorst Partners for Development(www.behrhorst.org), will be in Cincinnati to give an evening lecture on Third World Issues in Guatemala, First World Responses, and work currently happening specific to several non-profits with which Sue works in Guatemala. FTGA's Teens on a Mission will host this event. This is a great opportunity to educate yourself on issues that face families in Guatemala, how you can help, and what others are doing. There will not be tickets sold for the event; however we ask that families make a donation to one of the non-profits discussed. Teens on a Mission will offer a bake sale during the evening with all money raised going to WINGS and Behrhorst Partners for Development. The event will begin at 7pm on June 11th and be open to those 13 years and older. If you would like information on attending this event, please visit Friends Through Guatemalan Adoption - Home and click on special events. It will be a great night! Please help keep this bumped to spread the word. Thanks.

Bumping- WINGS is great!
We were fortunate to meet the executive director, Meira, during our stay in Antigua and she was amazing. She shared so many interesting facts about the state of healthcare in Guatemala and how they are helping by providing reproductive education and many much needed services to the people.
I wish we could attend this seminar but Seattle's pretty far-- Any chance there will be a transcript of it available? Thanks Melissa
