Cute idea! That cake was incredible and looked like it was homemade.
Here is John's first birthday cake...which I did not make but I thought it came out great!

DS has an airplane themed room - so we can tell him how Mom and Dad got on a plane to bring him home!

Olivia loves Elmo, so we did the Sesame Street theme. The top part of the cake was for her to dig into and she had a blast with that. Thanks for letting me share!

It's the Hugs 'n Stitches pattern. I thought it was so cute. We have a custom bakery here that does such a good job and I just left an invitation for them and that's what they came up with. I loved it.
